And so it continues

So, neither of my Moms has their babies on the 4th, which was a nice surprise, probably not for them, but for me.

Tuesday after the 4th, now the 6th I got up at 5:30 to take Jeff to work. I went to bed at 11:45 that night exhausted TWO minutes later at 11:47 I received a call from my clients stating that labor had begun...fast forward to the 8th around 11:00 at night...my mother is now ready to push. My other mother called...in labor! 4 hours later my first mom delivered...5 hours later, I went to be with client number two after not sleeping since Tuesday 5:30 a.m. I was asleep on my feet! I was so lucky to have my back-up doula present for their earlier labor and birth. Friday 9th, July 11:30 I was home, in the shower and I FELL ASLEEP shampooing my hair! I didn't even know it was possible! Friday night came about 6:00 p.m. and I awoke for a whole three hours, and retired again until the following day.

Okay, so my back-up doula looks significantly more awake, but all in all considering I had virtually no voice, and less than two minutes sleep in 76 hours...yep that's 3 days and 4 hours, I say I didn't look too bad!

So, that sums up the first 9 days of July...it gets busier!
